A tradition my family does on holidays are usually on Eid. First my family wakes up early and starts getting ready. My dad and I usally go to pray with some friends. We are usally gone six ' o ' clock to nine 'o' clock. After we come home we have a big breakfast and we invite friends. After the guest leave around noon, my family stays home and relax, or we are getting ready to go to a party. If we are staying home, my sister and I count the money we recieved. At night, if we hadn't went to a party, then we go to one. Some of my parent's friends invite us for a party after Eid sometimes (My parents did it the Sunday before I posted this). So this an eventful holiday.

Middle School
Let’s get to the chase. If you cry about when you hear about what your teacher tells you, and think that your life is over, and call your friends over to propose a funeral, or you think you’ll just flunk out, well then you don’t know what you’re capable. Yes, I know I sound like a teacher, but if you heard a student that actually went to middle school, then you would know what it be like.
Anyhow, the first time I heard from the vice principal, and the head consular, I was calm, and I thought that heh, well at least I don’t have to think about college after this. I remember when I was little, and I asked her what her favorite grade was, she used to reply, “Seventh grade,” At one point in the summer, I thought middle school is pretty tuff for some reason. The Rocket’s orientations helped my mood up a little bit, but not a lot. Then first day of middle school came.
Well coming to orientation, I already knew which one was my home room, 6-4, Mr. Pagel who was my social studies teacher. He was able help my mood about middle school, when he explained what middle school is, what they expect from us. That was starting to swim in my head. “Middle school is about organization,” he told us. “It’s okay to be a little messy right now, but you should work on being organized.”
After homeroom (which went on until third period and I missed English), and lunch, I went to math. The teacher Mrs. Tchorz was going over what we were supposed to do in math. We did a little sheet that had animals come to their lion king’s birthday, and the question was how many animals where there. That made the pressure on me a bit lower.
When going to science, I notice I had to walk all the way across the building, so I thought of getting used to it now. Walking there was actually a piece of cake since I’m a fast walker. So I thought well I guess I can’t be late for this class now. Well Mrs. Fuller the science teacher for the Rockets (we switch science teachers every marking period) told us about science and gave us stuff to sign. She explained that we will have her for the first and last making period, and for second and third marking period we will have th Knight’s and Stinger’s science teachers, Mrs. Schneiderman, Mr. Lothian.
After science, we went to gym, where we found out who our gym teacher is (or found out which bleacher we were supposed to sit in). Really all we did was the special for the day, talk what we’re going to do for the year, and got stuff to sign. The only thing that was different was that they check our weights and height.
Then we all went to Spanish, where the Spanish teacher, Mrs. Martinez, (rumors are she is the nice Spanish teacher) Mrs. Martinez does seem nice. She even looked like a professional. So Spanish might be better than elementary schools (I down right sucked then). The bad thing is that I’m out of practice.
The end of the day kind of went smoothly. I went to my locker which was close by.Back in orientation, I didn’t learn how to open then. Well when I ask Mr. Pagel, I watched him do it and from that point on I knew how to open a lock.
At the end of the day I noticed that middle school wasn’t too hard. I haven’t met all the teachers, but it seems I could survive through the whole year. It’s more exciting than elementary school, yet easier than high school. You can survive as long you’re serious, independent, and organized, and when your older, you want to go back to middle school, (or at least according to my sister). Soon you will probably wish you were still in middle school.
